Two final-year classes from de Windroos primary school in Machelen participated in the Dorp op School (Village at School) science project. Within this context, the pupils had to make a model of an emblematic building or concept. De Windroos primary school chose Uplace.
Before they started building, the pupils of de Windroos paid a visit to the Uplace offices one fine February day to receive information about the project, and have a good look at the real model. After explanations given by project leaders Bart and Jan, the children had the chance to ask questions.
But the Uplace team also set the children a challenge. They were asked to make a drawing of their best and most creative idea for Uplace. Uplace would select at least one of the ideas from all those submitted, which would then be part of the project. Both classes presented their models on 31 March 2015. You can have a look at all the children’s drawings above.
