Corporate social responsibility in accordance with the Brownfield Covenant

Initially the idea was to use existing green zones to generate new economic activities, but soon everyone started to realise that there are many contaminated and derelict industrial sites waiting for new activities. The focus therefore changed to "brownfields", abandoned terrains, usually in neglected areas. These are often former industrial sites with particularly outdated and derelict buildings on contaminated ground. By encouraging entrepreneurs to first use brownfields, it becomes possible to avoid the use of new green zones. For this reason, the Brownfield Decree came into existence in 2007.
